Caffe Pacori is one of the beloved local roasters we follow in Oregon: an independent roaster based in Eugene. Here is what their own pages and public sources say about them, in our words.
Their story
Founder Eric Pierce roasts over an open fire of certified sustainable hardwoods, which the company says gives a smoky, sweet and less acidic bean. Bags are paper and biodegradable, with labels screen printed by hand in water-based ink. Its Gold Espresso is a light roast with a gentle smoke and chocolate finish, and Black Crest is the same espresso taken dark for milk drinks with heavy crema.
The Wood Roasted House blend combines South and Central American coffees at a medium roast, and the company pitches it as low in acid and bitterness. A limited Aceh Gayo Sumatra comes from the highlands of northern Sumatra and is wet hulled, while a medium dark Sumatra from the Batak area is dried in the sun. For a few years buyers could add a vintage toy to their bag; the shop ended that Prize Inside option after running out of old toys to give away.

Roast levels run Ultra light white coffee, French Roast and Italian Roast. House blends include Wood Roasted House, Breakfast Blend, Pacori Select and Pacori 6.0. Single origins on the list when we checked: Tanzania Peaberry, Aceh Gayo Sumatra, Ethiopia Sidamo and India Monsooned Malabar. Espresso: Gold, Silver, Bronze, Black Crest and Onyx espressos. The store is open Monday to Saturday and has free arcade games and Skee-Ball.

Free local delivery runs three days a week to Eugene, Springfield, Creswell, Cottage Grove and nearby towns. Local grocers such as Friendly Street Market and Provisions Market Hall carry its beans and cold brew. Delivery days depend on the area: Eugene and Springfield get stops three days a week, Creswell and Cottage Grove on Wednesdays, and Junction City, Monroe and Brownsville on Fridays. The Wallis Street store shows cartoons on Saturdays, according to the shop.
