How this list works
The best Oregon coffee subscription depends on what you want in the mail: one Oregon roaster you already love, a rotation of Oregon roasters, a Portland-only box, or coffee from across the country or the world. This page lists twenty real options side by side so you can pick. Multnomah Coffee Club publishes this page, and our club is one of the entries. We describe it with the same fields as everyone else and we do not score or rank anyone.
Every entry is measured on the same seven things:
- In-state roasters: does the coffee come from Oregon roasters, and from how many?
- Bag size, in ounces.
- Price per bag, as the seller shows it.
- Shipping, as the seller states it.
- Trial: a free bag, a sampler or a starter offer.
- Gifts: whether you can send it to someone else.
- Cancel: how you skip, pause or stop.
Competitor facts come from each company's own pages, read on 2026-09-27. Facts about Oregon roasters come from the roasters' own pages, read on the same day for our roaster profiles. Where a seller did not state something on the pages we read, the table says "not listed here". That is a gap in what we read, not a mark against anyone: prices and shipping sit on the roasters' own shops, and they change.

Our club sends a 12 oz bag from a different independent Oregon roaster in every box, every 2 or 4 weeks. You choose the roast level (light, medium, dark or a mix), the style (single origin, blend, espresso or decaf) and whole bean or ground, and a box holds one bag or two; the second bag can have its own roast and style. Each bag is $16.99. First bag free, you pay $7.99 shipping. Portland Coffee Box
A Portland company that curates bags from local roasters and packs every box by hand. Its about page says it launched in October 2025 and works with more than 30 roasters; its roaster page names 30 in Portland, Dapper & Wise in Hillsboro and one roaster in Vancouver, Washington. Boxes hold one to four bags, at $29.99, $47, $67 and $80, with a two-bag Micro Lot Box at $70. You pick Adventure, Light, Medium or Dark, and regular, decaf or half-caff. Trade Coffee
A national marketplace that matches you to coffees from 55+ roasters around the country through a quiz, with 500+ coffees in rotation. The Discovery Trial sends three bags from three roasters, one at a time, first bag free, with free shipping. A standard bag is 10.93 oz: $16.99 on the Essential tier and $21.99 on Signature. Coffee ships within 48 hours of roasting, and subscriptions ship every two weeks by default. Gift subscriptions of 3, 6 or 12 months cost $66, $132 or $264. Atlas Coffee Club
A single-origin club that roasts its own coffee and features a different coffee-growing country each month. Each shipment carries its coffee with flavor notes, a postcard from that month's country and some coffee history. A 6 oz option exists. Its own first-bag page puts the plan at $16 a bag for two 12 oz bags a shipment after a 28-day free first bag, plus $4.95 shipping a shipment; single-bag plans listed at $17 and $20 on the day we checked. Oregon roasters that sell their own subscription
Buying a subscription straight from one Oregon roaster is the most direct way to support it: the whole purchase goes to the business that roasted the coffee, and the jobs behind it are in Portland, Bend, Eugene or the small town it roasts in. These sixteen roasters sell a subscription on their own sites, checked 2026-09-27. Prices, bag sizes, trial offers and cancel terms sit on each roaster's shop and change, so we do not copy them here. The roaster facts we hold do not cover trial offers or cancel terms, so those two columns are left out. They are listed by town, not ranked. Each name links to our profile of that roaster.

Portland roasters
Case Study Coffee Roasters
Case Study sells a coffee subscription on its own shop. Its coffee pages name the producer, region, variety and process for each lot, and its house espresso is Deviation Blend. The Burnside Blend is named for the street that splits north and south Portland.
Coava Coffee Roasters
Coava offers a bi-weekly or monthly subscription. Most of its coffees come in a drip or an espresso roast profile, and its single origins are named for the producer and rotate with the seasons. It started in 2008.
Heart Coffee Roasters
Heart sells a Roasters Choice subscription and a sample pack. It does not label coffees light, medium or dark; each gets its own profile, and every bag carries a roast date and batch number. Heart also publishes a transparency report.
Portland Coffee Roasters
Portland Coffee Roasters, founded in 1996, runs Best Sellers and Roaster's Choice subscriptions. It sells organic and Fair Trade coffees and capsules, and $1 from each bag of OPBEANS goes to Oregon Public Broadcasting.
Roseline Coffee
Roseline has the widest named menu of subscriptions on this list: Roaster's Choice, Cartwheel, Oro, Catapult and Decaf. It describes the Roaster's Choice as suited to espresso and brewed coffee, and the decaf subscription as mountain water processed.
Sterling Coffee Roasters
Sterling is the one roaster on this list whose site states its shipping: free on every order. Subscriptions run every week, two weeks or month. Its roast styles are light and light-medium, and Blendo Stupendo comes in 11 oz, 2.5 lb and 5 lb bags.
Trailhead Coffee Roasters
Trailhead sells Original and Bulk Seasonal subscriptions and a sample bag. For the lowest waste it offers a 3.5 pound eco bag made from recycled content. Most of its coffee relationships are direct trade.
Water Avenue Coffee
Water Avenue sells auto-renew and gift subscriptions. It makes coffees with Oregon groups, including Pacific Flyway, a Bird Friendly certified coffee made with Bird Alliance of Oregon. It was sold to Harder Day Coffee in August 2024.
Willamette Valley and Southern Oregon roasters
Dapper & Wise Coffee Roasters
Dapper & Wise in Hillsboro sells Roaster's Choice and gift subscriptions, plus a Coffee World Tour gift box and a tasting box. Much of its coffee comes from Cafe Origenes, a cooperative whose farmer members launched their own roasting company.
Caravan Coffee
Caravan in Newberg runs a Roaster's Choice Coffee Club with local pickup, which suits Yamhill County readers who would rather collect than ship. Its tasting room pours coffee flights. It buys to a written standard it calls S.E.T.
Wandering Goat Coffee Co.
Wandering Goat in Eugene sells a Roaster's Choice and other subscriptions. All of its coffees are certified organic through Oregon Tilth, and it roasts to order every week.
Noble Coffee Roasting
Noble in Ashland sells subscriptions of its organic coffees. Its menu includes two espresso blends, World Tour and Pompadour, and water processed decafs.
Central Oregon roasters
Backporch Coffee Roasters
Backporch in Bend has four named subscriptions: Flagship, medium roast, espresso and Showcase, the last built on its micro lots. It has roasted in Bend since 2006.
Lone Pine Coffee Roasters
Lone Pine in Bend sells bi-weekly and monthly subscriptions. Heartwood Blend is its espresso roast and Tin Pan Alley its dark blend.
Thump Coffee
Thump in Bend sells Storm King and single origin subscriptions. Its line runs from flagship coffees to limited single origins and a Signature Series, plus its own instant coffee.
Sisters Coffee Company
Sisters Coffee sells monthly and prepaid subscriptions, including an office subscription. It says it became Central Oregon's first specialty coffee roaster, and one family has run it in Sisters since 1989.
Which one fits you
If you already have a favorite Oregon roaster, subscribe with that roaster. Nothing on this page beats buying straight from the business you want to keep open, and sixteen of them make it easy. If you want Portland in particular and like your shipping folded into the price, Portland Coffee Box is built for that. If you want roasters from all over the country, Trade has the largest range here; if you want a new country each month, that is Atlas.
