Their story
Buying centers on partnerships with women farmers, Indigenous communities and growers who practice regenerative farming. The name refers to ancient cave painters, whom the company sees as an example of making something lasting and meaningful. The shop recently moved to a new online platform with a larger subscription system, and says tea will join the coffee soon.
The about page frames coffee and tea as plant medicine and describes its sourcing as reciprocal, with regenerative farming that builds soil rather than depleting it. Recent coffees include a Peruvian natural from the Coopagry smallholder co-op in Junin and a Mexican natural from Grupo Terruno Nayarita, a network of small farms in Nayarit. A Colombian microlot came from Luis Anibal Calderon, a Huila grower the shop notes was a top 30 finalist in the 2016 Huila Best Cup competition.
Subscribers get a Roaster's Choice coffee each month, and a Tea Circle subscription is planned to join the Coffee Club.
