Their story
The micro-roaster calls its team coffee nerds rather than snobs and sells six house blends by the bag, in 5 pound bags and in multi-bag bundles. Storm of the Black Bear, its darkest roast, won a ribbon at the 2010 Oregon State Fair, according to the product listing. The company says its blends have won at the Golden Bean North America competition, including bronze awards in 2018 for Blend No. 5, El Chupacabra, Darkness of Divinity and Little Bear.
Little Bear, the lightest roast, is the Storm of the Black Bear blend pulled from the roaster much earlier. Blend No. 5 is a three bean blend roasted between medium and dark, and the listing says it was a finalist at America's Best Espresso in 2012 and 2013. Buyers unsure what to try can order a Mystery Coffee, once or as a subscription, or sample packs of twelve 4 ounce bags.

Roast levels run light, medium and dark. House blends include El Chupacabra, Storm of the Black Bear, Blend No.5, Darkness of Divinity, Little Bear Blend and The Modern Italian.
