Their story
The company has roasted in the foothills west of Portland since 1985, supplying wholesale accounts and shipping retail orders nationwide. It roasts with a Sivetz hot air system and sells a long list of coffees and loose leaf teas. Its roaster is a fluid bed design created by engineer Mike Sivetz, whose company listed a Corvallis address. The site claims about 13 percent of the world's coffee is roasted by hot air, and argues it avoids the smoke and scorching of drum roasting.
Home roasters can buy green beans here too, from Colombian Supremo and Costa Rican SHB to Celebes Kalossi and Java Estate. The espresso range runs to half a dozen roasts, among them Espresso Celebrity, Espresso Silk and Espresso Ultima, alongside house blends such as Awesome Blend and Rainy Day Blend. Its tea list covers loose black, green, oolong, herbal and chai, including Keemun and a house Pacific Chai, and it also sells coffee in Cruzin Caps single-serve pods.
