Their story
Rainy Rooster is an online roaster that roasts each order after it is placed, and orders leave within one business day of roasting. Coffees are hand picked to call up a rainy afternoon in a favorite armchair, and the company says only a small share of the world crop makes its list. The company says it chooses from about the top fifth of the world's coffee, checks each batch after roasting, and aims to have orders at the customer's door within seven days.

The home page says every bag is roasted and produced in West Linn. Among the more unusual offerings are a Sumatra Lintong aged five years, sold as earthy with low acidity, and a washed Gesha from the Libano area of Tolima, Colombia. Brew guides on the site give ratios, grind sizes and water temperatures for pour over, drip machines, French press, espresso, AeroPress and cold brew, along with a ratio calculator.
