Their story
The family-owned cafe and roastery stands across the road from the Tillamook Creamery. The company hand roasts beans sourced worldwide and ships bags from its online store, with Fogcutter among the coffees it points visitors to. Every espresso drink at the cafe uses the house Espresso Blend, and Fogcutter plus a rotating single origin are kept on brew.
What they roast
House blends include Five Rivers Blend, Fogcutter, Farm Blend, Bud's Beans, Espresso Blend and French Roast. Single origins on the list when we checked: Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Organic Ethiopian Yirgacheffe and Organic Papua New Guinea. Espresso: Espresso Blend. Why buying from Five Rivers Coffee Roasters matters here
Its name refers to the five rivers of Tillamook County that drain into Tillamook Bay: the Miami, Kilchis, Wilson, Trask and Tillamook. Signature drinks borrow local river names, such as the Caramel Kilchis latte and the Miami Whammy mocha. Breakfast sandwiches and burritos are made with Tillamook cheddar. Blends such as Farm Blend and Sportsman Blend mix medium and dark roasts in set ratios, while Bud's Beans is the darkest roast on the list. Fogcutter, a medium dark roast, is billed as a state fair winner. In March 2024 the cafe hosted a Level Up Tillamook networking morning for local business owners, part of a county program funded by a Ford Family Foundation grant, the Tillamook County Pioneer reported.
