Their story
A family-owned roaster, it roasts to order and adjusts computerized profiles for weather and air pressure. Bags are weighed and vacuum-packed in foil for shipping, and many coffees carry Oregon Tilth organic certification. Its stated mission covers both Arabica and Robusta beans, roasted daily and only as orders require.
The single origin list runs to about a dozen coffees from Colombia, Costa Rica, Ethiopia, Guatemala, New Guinea, Sumatra and Tanzania, several offered in both lighter and dark versions. Businesses and couples planning events can order a signature blend with custom labels, choosing acidity, body and a light, medium or dark finish. One of its house blends is named for the Columbia River, which runs past Hood River. Many blends carry Gorge and Cascade place names: Mt. Hood, Mt.
