Pastega Coffee Roasters is one of the beloved local roasters we follow in Oregon: an independent roaster based in Salem. Here is what their own pages and public sources say about them, in our words.
Their story
A family-owned company, Pastega roasts to order in small batches and also handles wholesale and bean distribution alongside a single coffee shop. The site announces a recent move to Salem, and its store now carries the Odolla Coffee Roasters name next to its own. Coffee is sold by the full pound, a point the shop makes against the smaller bag sizes used elsewhere.
Before the move to Salem, the roastery page gave an address on NW 2nd Street in Corvallis, where customers could stop by during weekday office hours to see what was roasting. Solari Espresso takes its name from the grandmother's side of the owning family. The blend sits between a light and a medium roast.
What they roast
House blends include Bartee Blend and House Roast Reserve. Single origins on the list when we checked: Sumatra Mandheling, Guatemala Antigua, Mexican Chiapas, Colombian Supremo and Nicaraguan SHG.
