Their story
The owners started South Fork in Eugene in 2000, pooling some 30 years of combined work in coffee and beverages. In 2002 the company opened a plant to purify and bottle drinking water, which is when it took its current name and began delivering water to homes and offices. Its move into the Portland market came in 2007 with the purchase of a distribution facility on Swan Island, though headquarters stayed in Eugene.
Beans are roasted every day in small batches on an infrared Primo machine the company bought in 2012, and its master roaster holds certification from the Specialty Coffee Association. Blends come as whole bean or ground one pound bags, pre-portioned filter packs and single cups, and can be shipped anywhere in the country.

Walk-in purchases at the Eugene facility are arranged by phone; residential coffee delivery is not offered.

Route drivers bring coffee and water to offices along the Interstate 5 corridor, from Portland and Salem to Eugene, Springfield and Roseburg. On each office visit, drivers restock the cabinets, clean the brewers and swap out any machine that has stopped working.
