Tailored Coffee Roasters is one of the beloved local roasters we follow in Oregon: an independent roaster based in Eugene, founded in 2014. Here is what their own pages and public sources say about them, in our words.
Their story
The company has roasted and brewed coffee in Eugene since 2014 and describes itself as a small roaster. It buys fresh-crop green coffee from several countries and roasts for clarity and sweetness rather than heavy roast flavor. Tailored roasts in what it calls the Scandinavian light roast tradition, and its Intro Blend combines coffees from San Martin in Peru and Limu in Ethiopia.
Burundi Bumba #16 is an anaerobic natural from Kayanza, where cherries ferment in sealed tanks before drying with the fruit still on. Other current lots include Kenya Gondo AB from Murang'a County on Mount Kenya's southern slopes, a washed landrace Gotiti from Yirgacheffe and Yukro from Agaro in western Ethiopia. Web orders leave only on Tuesdays and Fridays so the beans can rest after roasting, and a subscription sends a 10 ounce single origin bag every other week.

Roast levels run Scandinavian style light roast. House blends include Intro Blend. Single origins on the list when we checked: Burundi Bumba #16, Kenya Gondo AB, Ethiopia Gotiti and Yukro. Why buying from Tailored Coffee Roasters matters here
One of its two cafes sits on 13th Avenue next to the University of Oregon campus. The second cafe is downtown on East 5th Avenue in the Market District, and both shops keep 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. hours daily. Businesses can email the roaster about wholesale prices and distribution, and the 13th Avenue shop takes pickup orders for drinks and breakfast.
