Their story
A family in Albany started the business as a side project on weekends, and it has since become a small-batch roastery. Coffee is roasted to order across light, medium, medium-dark and dark levels. Decaf is limited to Swiss Water and sugarcane processes. The company runs a wholesale program and will build a custom blend for a business that wants to pour its coffee.
Three signature blends are sorted by roast level: Breakfast for fans of light roasts, House for medium to dark, and Espresso for dark roast drinkers who also want a home espresso option. The Summer Blend combines Guatemala, Brazil peaberry and Peru, and the roaster suggests it for espresso when taken to a medium dark roast. Home roasters can buy unroasted green coffee here too, including lots from Peru, Guatemala and Brazil plus green versions of some house blends.
Its about page lists Fair Trade certified and certified organic coffees in the range and says the bags are recyclable.
What they roast
Roast levels run Light, Medium, Medium-Dark and Dark. House blends include Bourbon Truffle Blend, Black Belt Coffee, Breakfast Blend, House Blend, Espresso Blend, Summer Blend, Rise 'N' Shine Blend, Cacao Blend, Daisy's Blend and Half Caff Blend. Single origins on the list when we checked: Colombia Huila El Tiple, Brazil Cerrado, Tanzania Peaberry, Mexico Chiapas, Guatemala Santa Rosa and Peru Chonta. Espresso: Espresso Blend (dark); Summer Blend also suggested for espresso. Decaf: Swiss Water and sugarcane process decafs.
