Medford's coffee story

Mellelo began in 1992 and has spent the years since roasting, running cafes, training baristas and helping other people open coffee businesses.

Centerline's French Blend, a smoky dark roast, has been a customer favorite for more than 25 years by the company's own account. Oregon Mountain says it ignores trends: it keeps a short menu, rests beans at least 48 hours before delivery and aims for a cup that is neither bitter nor sharp.

2019 brought two new shops. Jacob Terando and Storm Faulconer spent a year building out Forage to give their hometown a stronger coffee culture. In Jacksonville, Cerberus takes its name from a very large dog its owners once took in.

GoodBean names two blends for home ground: one for Jacksonville and one for Table Rock.
